Description
This pin captures the signature Koa curved “leaves” that are a recognizable feature of these trees. Made of enamel, the pin celebrates the mighty Koa, often regarded for the fine hardwood, but Koa is an important ecosystem filled with grubs and bugs and other delicious morsels for the ‘akiapola’au to harvest with it’s unique bill system as well as other other honeycreepers in the many Koa in the Hakalau forest.
