Our Mission

To support native Hawaiian forest habitats such as Hakalau Forest National Wildlife Refuge in terms of restoring, protecting, and conserving biological diversity at both the Hakalau and Kona Forest Units. Particular emphasis is focused on saving endangered bird and plant species, while simultaneously providing wildlife-dependent recreation such as wildlife observation and photography, environmental education and interpretation, cultural experiences, and scientific research.
