Does anyone have statistics to back up #8? I didn't think Australia had "one of the most violent crime rates on Earth".
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/514043/ar ...this article says emails can be legally binding. even if not, fax machines are still dumb relics.

“I didn't think it would happen without Republican support. One hand I'm glad it could still be passed, on the other, I've thought this the entire time, this is such a big bill that it should need support from both sides before anyone is comfortable with it passing, but time and time again the Republicans have shown how stubborn they are. This is the problem with a 2 party system. People get so scared from their party that they pretty much have to vote along their parties lines or they will be labeled an outcast. I'm saying this for both parties. I honestly can't believe all Dems think this is the good and all Reps think this is bad. There were people from both sides who were on the edge on which way to vote, but look what they did. They stuck with party lines. This is the problem with lobbyist. They put so much money in the pockets of people they are scared to vote for/against something cause the money lining their pockets is too good to have stopped. The same can be said as the last paragraph. I'm sure many followed where the money was coming from, not just this vote, but all.

Well, I can either go to the movies and have a marginal experience while paying a ton of cash for a drink, a bag of popcorn etc. or wait for the disk to be released (or both) and have the movie in a form I don't want it in, OR I can download the movie in an open form and move it to any device I want it on. For free? Huh, I can think of only one industry that ****s its customers, charges high prices for it and can stay in business and that one is illegal in most states. But still the entertainment industry tries to emulate it. The new model for this style of industry has to let loose the idea that it can grab every penny, that just isn't going to happen. They have to find a way to get a little bit from a lot of volume. That goes for movies, music or newspapers. They either have to find some way to adapt or they are going to disappear. The ironic thing is some of the movies I've most enjoyed lately have been videogames.
